How You Think Leads to Your Behavior… Healthy or Unhealthy

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”
~Norman Vincent Peale

We go through thinking about this or that. The think is, there is wrong thinking and right thinking.  This is especially true regarding health and fitness. The problem lies in thinking that we are right without knowing the reasoning behind one’s thinking.

There are many factors that have created your thoughts and thinking.  It could come from the educational system and yet, that is only a small part of the whole. Mostly, it comes from who you are around most of the time, your parents and others who influence you. The main focus of this post is health and fitness. Yet, it can apply to any area of your life.

“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.”
~Mahatma Gandhi

Throughout history many philosophers have pondered this notion of thought. In the 19th Century, James Allen’s famous book As a Man Thinketh, became a best-seller for the time period and is still sold today. Then there was Earl Nightingale’s famous discovery to success in six words, “We become what we think about.”

If you hold your thoughts to what you don’t want, you will get more of that. It matters not if it something you don’t want or want, your subconscious mind will take it as you want it. So, be careful what you say to yourself. Always say what you want. Make it into the positive focused.

In health and fitness, it will be the same way. If you’re constantly saying you’re fat, then you will always be that way. It matter not what other people that is important. It does matter what you say and how you feel that counts. Instead, say that you are sculpting your body to reveal one that is healthy, fit and hot.

“Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts.”
~Soren Kierkegaard

Make your healthy thoughts real by taking immediate action on them. Each time you do that, they become more embedded into your subconscious mind and creates a belief system that you are that way. Expand that new belief by bringing in healthy and fit people as part of your life.

You may have negative thoughts about health and fitness from time to time. It’s important you catch them in order to redirect to one’s that are better formed. Think thoughts about yourself that is positively healthy. Let the negative thoughts of others flow/bounce off of you as if you have a Teflon-coated force-field around your mind and body.
