Just guessing…you made your 2012 New Year’s Resolutions and they are fading and losing their luster…fast.
If you allow me, I’m guessing you have been entertaining those thoughts about how HARD it is to keep motivated? You are not alone. Motivation is a very important fundamental to creating the fitness, weight loss, health success you desire, and I know it can be challenging. However, no longer do you need to stay stuck in that whirlpool of watching your motivation slip away.
Motivation can easily be captured, either in whirlpool or within your own mind by changing your thoughts. Thoughts are really the key because, you see, it is our thoughts that determine the actions we take in life. That is right. Let me repeat: our thoughts dictate what actions we take in our lives whether positive or negative.
So you might be saying,”Right Lori, easily said…” I’m here to say that once you change your thinking and really look at your life differently, NOT the same way you have been looking at it, you will take different actions.
So how to change? Begin by going back to your “WHY.” Why did you want weight loss, that fit body, those hard rock abs in the first place? Next, when you think about your “why,” add the initial excitement and emotion to it. Factor that in because it is the emotion that will take you to success.
So, bring in your emotional component that will help drive you to success and you will. Make sure it is what you really want and then do it. Be consistent and keep that desire strong by focusing on the emotional reason of why you want what you want.
