Top 5 Everyday Detox Tips for Super Health

Would you like to create super health right away?  Knowing what to do is your key.  Our body is exposed, in fact, bombarded, to many different toxins every day from the foods we eat to the air we breathe.  Despite the toxins around us, we can make choices that will help cleanse the body – detoxify the body to help you create super health.

Drink Hot Water and Lemon. 

Drinking hot water and lemon juice every morning (more if you like) will not only create an immediate abundance of energy (better than coffee), but will stimulate digestion, cleanse the liver (your detox organ) and help prevent disease.  Lemon water makes for a powerful detox drink; lemon juice helps to cleanse and alkalize the body.

Body Brush Your Skin.

Brush my skin you say?  Yes. Our skin is our largest organ and thus a very important focus in detoxing our bodies.  What are the benefits of dry brushing skin?  You are increasing circulation thereby encouraging the body to help remove toxic waste.  You are also stimulating the lymphatic system which also helps eliminate toxins from the body.  Dry brushing also exfoliates skin cells , allowing skin to breath. Simply take a dry body brush and before each shower in the morning or evening, brush your skin in a circular motion starting at the ankles moving upward.

Add More Fiber.

Fiber acts a broom, sweeping toxins out of your digestive tract (which is where 80% of your immune system resides) helping your body to eliminate them.  A high-fiber diet prevents a number of health complications, including atherosclerosis and several different types of cancers, and can also aid in weight loss.  A healthy, clean diet that includes whole grains, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds will naturally be higher in fiber and bind up the toxins.

Drink Water.

Most individuals are chronically  mildly dehydrated.   Because of this state, we unwittingly suffer from a toxic body.  Water is cleansing and every process in the human body requires water.  Drink a minimum of half your body weight in ounces of water.  For example, if you weigh 120 lbs., drink 60 ounces of water a day – this does not include water during exercise or hot weather.  Water is so powerful that you’ll begin to see and feel changes such as your energy level and healthier skin right away.

Load up on Vitamin C.

Vitamin C helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins. Vitamin C is essential for the detoxification in the body, particularly in the liver.  When there is not enough vitamin C in the body to process the toxins, liver function can be compromised.  Help your liver function properly and make sure you get a sufficient amount of vitamin C from foods like fresh peppers, broccoli, oranges, kiwis, and strawberries.

Add Garlic.

Garlic is super powerful detox food supporting many liver enzymes, including the body’s manufacturing of glutathione and other factors critical for detoxification including the mineral selenium.  The liver is responsible for filtering every substance that enters and leaves your body – liver health is key to our optimal health..and garlic is a highly effective support.  For its detox support role, garlic once a day, either freshly chopped (as this releases the active compounds) or freeze-dried capsules will suffice.

By taking these simple actions and building healthy daily habits, you can help rid  your body of toxins that our bodies have to fight off every day and take you right to super health.
